Mhoeher's Projects

mhoeher/bup

This repository provides bup - an efficient backup program based on git. Bup allows you to do incremental backups of your data. It keeps a track of previous versions of the files as well, so you can restore earlier versions of your files if you need. Thanks to the underlying mechanisms used, bup also deals very well with large files (such as VM disk images), which otherwise take a long time to back up using other approaches (e.g. when using rsync).

mhoeher/backintime

This repository provides newer versions of the Back in Time (BiT) application, a simple backup program which is inspired by Flyback and TimeVault. Note for Users of Fedora 24 and up Starting with Fedora 24, up-to-date packages are part of Fedora's main repository. Notes: Upgrading to Back in Time 1.1.x Fedora currently provides BiT 1.0.x in its repositories. This repository however provides upgraded versions from the 1.1.x line of the software. Before installing, please consider that there were major changes. Instead of providing separate clients for GNOME and KDE, the project now has a unified Qt4 based client. If you nevertheless wish to upgrade, first uninstall your current BiT packages by running dnf remove backintime\* Afterwards, install backintime and backintime-qt4.

mhoeher/multitouch

Enables multi touch gesture support in Fedora. This repository provides several packages that allow you to define multi touch touchpad gestures (like often seen on Mac OS X devices). While the default drivers that come with Fedora already provide some basic multi touch capabilities, using the software contained in this repository can be used to define further gestures that can easily be linked with actions like program execution or sending of shortcuts. Via that, you can e.g. switch between virtual desktops or show an app expose with a simple swipe on the touch pad.
