ryanlerch / gimp-goat-invasion

builds of upstream GIMP master, for what will become gimp 2.10. See http://jcornuz.wordpress.com/2012/06/02/the-day-goats-invaded-the-gimp/ for more information on GIMP and GEGL. Issues with this version of GIMP should be filed upstream, but be sure to note in the bug report that you installed via this package.

Installation Instructions

download the repo file for your version of Fedora to the /etc/yum.repos.d/ directory with a command like:

sudo curl -o /etc/yum.repos.d/ryanlerch-gimp-goat-invasion.repo \

then update gimp with

sudo yum update gimp

  • these repos are set up so you only have one version of gimp installed at a time, if you want to switch to the fedora stable version or the gtk-fork version, be sure to remove gimp, gegl, babl and gimp-libs before installing from the other repos
  • the gnome-photos application requires an older version of gegl (a library this repo provides), so it may need to be removed for this newer version of GIMP
